Halima Akter is a gentle and resilient young girl who has been struggling with partial hearing problems and repeated throat infections for the past two years. She has been suffering from high fever, sore throat, and difficulty swallowing for the last seven days, along with breathing problems caused by enlarged adenoids and tonsils. Her father, Hashem Ali, works as a day laborer and is the only earning member of their six-member family. With very limited and irregular income, he can barely manage daily household expenses, especially as Halima’s younger brother is also ill with nasal polyps, adding to the family’s medical burden. Without proper treatment, Halima’s condition may worsen, leading to serious breathing difficulties and further hearing loss. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Sadika, who informed them about the organization, and they have humbly requested financial assistance for Halima’s treatment.

The patient,Halima Akter 13 years old was admitted to City Clinic on 01 March 2026. A successful Adino-tonsilotomy operation was performed the same day.The child progressed well and were discharged on 02th January 2026 with proper postnatal advice. The patient and her family expressed heartfelt gratitude to Helpster, the dedicated volunteers, and City Clinic for their kind support and care throughout the treatment.

The doctor has advised that an adenotonsillectomy is the most effective treatment for Halima’s condition. This surgery is expected to relieve her breathing difficulties, reduce repeated throat infections and fever, and improve her hearing and overall comfort, especially during sleep. With proper treatment, she will be able to eat, sleep, and attend school regularly, supporting her healthy growth and development. However, if left untreated, her condition may worsen, leading to severe breathing obstruction, recurrent serious infections, and progressive hearing loss. In extreme cases, untreated airway blockage and infection can become life-threatening and may seriously endanger her overall well-being.
