Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Five-year-old Emmad Raza is a playful and affectionate child who fills his small shelter in Geneva Bihari Camp with laughter, despite the hardships his family faces each day. His father, Emran Khan, works long hours as a cattle handler and day laborer, earning only enough to provide basic food for Emmad, his mother Earfara, and their family, leaving no savings for sudden medical costs. When Emmad’s fever and cough turned into severe pneumonia and he began struggling to breathe, his parents were terrified, knowing they could not afford prolonged hospital treatment. Without proper and continued medical care, his condition could worsen, leading to life-threatening complications or permanent lung damage. Learning about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach camp gave his family hope that their little boy can recover and return to the joyful childhood every child deserves.

Medical history

The patient, Emmad Raza, aged 5 years, was admitted to Al-Manar Hospital on 16 February 2026 with the diagnosis of Severe Pneumonia with respiratory distress. Due to his low oxygen level and critical condition, he received oxygen therapy, intravenous antibiotics, and close pediatric monitoring during his hospital stay. After several days of treatment, his breathing gradually improved and his overall condition became stable. He was discharged with medical advice to complete his prescribed medications and attend regular follow-up checkups. Emmad’s parents expressed sincere gratitude to Helpster Charity for the financial and medical support that made his treatment and recovery possible.

Outcome

Doctors have recommended hospitalization, intravenous antibiotics, nebulization, oxygen support, and other supportive therapy to treat Emdad’s severe pneumonia and stabilize his breathing. With timely and complete treatment, his lung infection can clear, his oxygen levels can return to normal, and he can gradually regain his strength and return to a healthy, active childhood. Proper medical care will also reduce the risk of long-term lung damage or recurrent infections. However, if left untreated, severe pneumonia can rapidly worsen, leading to respiratory failure, spread of infection in the bloodstream, or even death. Early and continued treatment is critical to save his life and ensure a full recovery.
