Redwan Ahmed is a calm and gentle six-month-old baby who lives with his parents, elder brother Mizanur, and sister Mahabuba in a small tin-made house with a muddy floor. His father, Kobir Ahmed, is a farmer earning around 5,000 BDT per month, which is barely enough to provide food and basic needs for their five-member family, leaving no savings for emergency medical care. For the past ten days, Redwan has been struggling with fever, cough, and severe breathing difficulty, and doctors at Seba Hospital diagnosed him with severe pneumonia. Watching their little baby fight for breath has left the entire family frightened and helpless, especially his siblings who adore him. Without urgent treatment, his condition could quickly worsen, leading to serious breathing failure and life-threatening complications, which is why the family has sought support from Helpster Charity after learning about it through Helpster Volunteer Tanjila Shahin Ema.

The patient Redwan Ahmed 6 months old boy admitted at Seba Hospital on 22th February 2026 as a case of severe pneumonia. The patient received treatment at the hospital for 6 days under a pediatrician. The patient was regularly taken all supportive therapy and regularly followed up by doctors and nurses. And on 28th February 2026 the patient is discharged with advice. During discharge the patient's family showed their sincere gratitude to Helpster Volunteer Tanjila Ema and to Seba Hospital Team.

The doctor has recommended hospitalization under a pediatrician with conservative management, including intravenous antibiotics, oxygen therapy, and other supportive treatments under close monitoring. With timely and proper care, Redwan’s infection is expected to gradually improve, his breathing will stabilize, and the risk of complications will significantly decrease. Continuous monitoring will ensure that his oxygen levels remain stable and that he responds well to treatment. However, if severe pneumonia is left untreated, it can quickly progress to respiratory failure, bloodstream infection, or other life-threatening complications. Prompt hospital-based treatment gives him the best chance for a full and healthy recovery.
