Manha Islam is a gentle and cheerful 1-year-old baby girl who lives with her parents and her elder brother, Mohammad Redowan, in a fragile rented home. Her father, Shohidul Islam, works as a day laborer and earns only about 8,000 BDT per month, which barely covers the basic needs of their four-member family and leaves them unable to afford medical treatment. When Manha developed a high fever, cough, and severe breathing difficulties, doctors diagnosed her with severe pneumonia, and her worried parents rushed her to Narayanganj Poly Clinic for urgent care. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Masud Rana and sought help because they have no savings to continue her treatment. Without immediate medical care, the infection could quickly worsen, putting the fragile life of this little child at serious and life-threatening risk.

Manha Islam was admitted to Narayanganj Polyclinic on 21/02/2026 in critical condition after being diagnosed with severe pneumonia, febrile convulsion, and enteric fever. Doctors immediately began intensive treatment, including oxygen therapy, nebulization, injectable antibiotics, and other supportive care, to control the infection and stabilize her breathing. With proper medical care and close monitoring, her condition gradually improved over the following days. She was discharged on 27/02/2026 in stable condition and happily returned home to her family. With deep gratitude, her parents sincerely thanked Helpster donors, Helpster volunteers including Masud Rana, and the medical team at Narayanganj Polyclinic for their kindness and support that helped save their child’s life.

Doctors have recommended immediate hospitalization, intravenous antibiotics, nebulization, and supportive care to control Manha Islam’s severe pneumonia, enteric fever, and febrile convulsions. With proper treatment and close monitoring, doctors expect the infection to gradually clear, her breathing to improve, and her fever and seizures to stop, allowing her to recover and continue growing as a healthy child. Early medical care is very important because young children can recover well when infections are treated in time. However, if her condition is left untreated, the infection could spread in her lungs and bloodstream, leading to severe breathing failure, repeated seizures, and other serious complications. In such situations, the illness can quickly become life-threatening, making urgent treatment essential to protect and save her life.
