Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Narayanganj Poly Clinic and General Hospital Bangladesh

Background

Two-year-nine-month-old Habiba Islam is a gentle and cheerful little girl who loves spending time with her parents and playing with her elder sister Hafiza Khatun, a Class-1 student. The family lives in a fragile rented home where her father Atikul Islam, a day laborer earning about 8,000 BDT per month, struggles to provide for the four family members while her mother Hosne Ara cares for the children. Recently, Habiba became seriously ill with persistent cough, fever, runny nose, and breathing difficulties, and doctors at Narayanganj Poly Clinic diagnosed her with severe pneumonia, requiring urgent medical treatment. Due to their limited income, her parents cannot afford the hospital expenses needed for her care. After learning about Helpster Charity through volunteer Masud Rana, the worried family is seeking support, as without timely treatment Habiba’s breathing problems could worsen and become life-threatening.

Medical history

Habiba 2.9 month -old child, had been battling recurrent respiratory tract infections for the past few months, but this time, her condition worsened as she developed severe pneumonia. Despite multiple courses of antibiotics from local pharmacies, her health continued to decline, leaving him lethargic and in a toxic state. In desperate need of emergency hospitalization, she received critical care at Narayanganj Polyclinic, including oxygen therapy, nebulization with sulbutamol, ipratropium bromide, budesonide, and injectable antibiotics, along with hydrocortisone due to the seriousness of her condition. Habiba was admitted on 3/3/26, received treatment, and was discharged from the hospital on 7/3/26. Now, after receiving the care she needed, Habiba is doing well and has returned home, bringing joy back to her family. With tears of gratitude in their eyes, her parents said, "Thank you to Helpster Donors and Narayanganj Polyclinic; we are forever grateful for your support!"

Outcome

Doctors have recommended immediate hospitalization, intravenous antibiotic therapy, nebulization, and supportive care to treat Mehejabin’s severe pneumonia and stabilize her breathing. With timely and proper treatment, the infection can be controlled, her oxygen levels can improve, and she can gradually recover and continue normal growth and development. Close medical monitoring is especially important at her young age to prevent complications. However, if left untreated, severe pneumonia in a two-month-old baby can rapidly worsen, leading to respiratory failure, spread of infection in the bloodstream, or even death. Early and complete treatment is critical to save her life and protect her future health.
