Afiya Jannat is a gentle and innocent 1 year 6-month-old child who lives with her family in the overcrowded Geneva Bihari Camp, where poor living conditions make daily life very difficult. Her father, Afsar Alam, earns only around 8,500 BDT per month as a laborer, which is barely enough to meet basic needs, leaving the family unable to afford her medical treatment. She is currently suffering from acute gastritis, pneumonia, and iron deficiency anemia, which have caused fever, breathing difficulty, weakness, and poor health. As her condition worsened, her parents became deeply worried, knowing that without proper treatment, her illness could become life-threatening. After learning about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach camp, the family now hopes to save their child with timely medical support.

The patient Afiya Jannat, aged 1 year 6 months, was admitted to Al-Manar Hospital Ltd. on 10 March 2026 with the diagnosis of Acute Gastritis with Pneumonia and Iron Deficiency Anemia. She stayed in the hospital ward bed for 8 days under close medical supervision and received supportive treatment and medications. During this period, the doctors carefully monitored her condition, and she gradually showed improvement. She was discharged on 18 March 2026 with advice for continued medication, proper nutrition, and regular follow-up care. The patient’s family expressed sincere gratitude to Helpster Charity for the support that made her treatment possible.

According to the doctors, Afiya requires hospitalization with proper hydration through saline, antibiotics, nebulization, and close monitoring to control her infections and improve her overall condition. With timely and appropriate treatment, she is expected to recover gradually, regain strength, and return to a healthy and active childhood. This care will help clear her lung infection, improve her nutrition, and prevent further complications. However, if left untreated, her pneumonia and weakness could worsen, leading to severe breathing problems, dehydration, and serious infections. In such cases, her condition could become life-threatening and may greatly affect her growth and survival.
