Binsha Manha, a 6-month-old baby, lives with her parents, Bilal Hossen and Sadika Akter, in a small, overcrowded shelter in Geneva Bihari Camp, Dhaka, where poor sanitation makes her highly vulnerable to illness. Her father earns only 9,000 BDT per month working in a jute factory, which is barely enough for food and shelter, leaving the family unable to afford urgent medical treatment. Binsha is a gentle and innocent child, but she suddenly became severely ill with fever, diarrhea, and continuous vomiting, causing dangerous dehydration within a short time. Without immediate treatment, her condition could become life-threatening, as severe dehydration in infants can lead to organ failure or even death. The family, who learned about Helpster Charity through a community outreach camp organized by Helpster Charity on 16th February 2026.

The patient Binsha Manha, aged 6 months, was admitted to Al-Manar Hospital on 10th March 2026 with the diagnosis of acute gastroenteritis with severe dehydration. She or remained hospitalized for 6 days, during which she received conservative and supportive treatment under close medical supervision. Following treatment, her condition gradually improved, and she responded well to the prescribed medications. She was discharged on 16th March 2026 with advice for continued care, proper nutrition, and follow-up. The patient’s family expressed heartfelt gratitude to Helpster Charity for providing essential support during this critical time.

According to the doctor, prompt treatment with NG feeding, proper hydration, supportive therapy, and close monitoring can lead to a full recovery for Binsha Manha. With timely care, her fluid levels will be restored, vomiting and diarrhea will be controlled, and she is expected to regain strength and return to normal growth and development. The treatment will also prevent further complications and ensure her overall well-being. However, if left untreated, severe dehydration can rapidly worsen, leading to shock, organ failure, and even death, especially in such a young infant. Early and continuous medical care is therefore critical to save her life and ensure a healthy future.
