Abrar Ahmed is a calm and gentle five-month-old boy who brings joy to his parents and his two young brothers, Akif and Ahnaf, despite their difficult living conditions. His father, Mojnu Ahmed, is a woodcutter earning only 5,000 BDT per month, supporting a family of five in a small tin-made house with a muddy floor, which makes it impossible for them to afford the cost of treatment. When Abrar became ill with fever, cough, and breathing difficulties, his condition quickly worsened, and he was diagnosed with severe pneumonia, a serious and life-threatening condition for an infant. Without timely treatment, his illness could worsen further, leading to severe breathing problems and potentially fatal complications. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Helpster Volunteer Tanjila Shahin Ema and is now seeking support to ensure Abrar receives the urgent care he needs to survive and recover.

Abrar Ahmed, a 5-month-old boy, was admitted to Seba Hospital on 10.03.2026 after being diagnosed with severe pneumonia. Under the supervision of a pediatrician, he received comprehensive treatment including parenteral antibiotics, nebulization, oxygen support, and other supportive care for seven days. Throughout the treatment period, his condition gradually improved, and he responded well to the medical care provided. He was successfully discharged on 17.03.2026 with medical advice for continued recovery at home. Abrar’s family expressed their sincere gratitude to the hospital team, Helpster Charity, and the dedicated volunteers for their invaluable support in saving their child’s life.

Doctors have advised immediate hospitalization along with antibiotic therapy, nebulization, and supportive care to help Abrar recover from severe pneumonia. With proper and timely treatment, his condition can improve significantly, allowing him to breathe normally again and continue growing in a healthy manner. Early intervention is crucial, as infants respond well to treatment when managed promptly under medical supervision. However, if left untreated, the infection may worsen rapidly, leading to severe breathing failure, reduced oxygen supply, and life-threatening complications. In such cases, the risk of permanent lung damage or even death becomes very high, making urgent treatment essential to save his life.
