Six-year-old Sabbir Rahman is a gentle and quiet child who now lies weak and struggling to breathe as he suffers from pneumonia with enteric fever. His father, Mohammad Pabnir, works long hours as a rickshaw driver, earning only enough to provide basic food for his wife, Lily Rahman, and their four children, leaving no means to cover expensive medical treatment. As Sabbir’s condition worsens, the family feels helpless, knowing they cannot afford the care he urgently needs. Without timely treatment, his illness could become life-threatening, putting his young life at serious risk. The family learned about Helpster Charity during a medical outreach program on 16.02.2026 organized by Helpster Charity and Al Manar Hospital, bringing them a small hope in their desperate situation.

The patient Md. Sabbir Rahman, aged 6 years, was admitted to Al-Manar Hospital Ltd. on 11th March 2026 with a diagnosis of severe pneumonia with enteric fever, along with suspected tuberculosis. He remained hospitalized for 9 days, during which he received urgent treatment including oxygen support, antibiotics, and close medical monitoring. Following steady improvement, he was discharged on 20th March 2026 with advice for continued medication, investigations, and follow-up care. Although his condition has improved, he remains physically weak and requires ongoing treatment for full recovery. The patient and his guardian expressed their sincere gratitude to Helpster Charity for the support provided during this critical time.

Doctors have advised that with proper hospitalization, antibiotics, nebulization, and supportive care, Sabbir has a strong chance of recovery and can gradually return to a normal, healthy childhood. This treatment will help clear the infection from his lungs, control the fever, and improve his breathing and strength over time. However, if he does not receive timely treatment, the infections could worsen, leading to severe breathing failure and life-threatening complications. His small body may not be able to fight the illness on its own, putting his life at serious risk. Immediate medical care is therefore crucial to save him and give him the chance to grow up healthy.
