Two-year-old Johra Khatun is a calm and gentle child who loves playing with clay and spending time with her parents and grandmother in their small camp home. Her father Golam Rabbi, a painter earning about 6,000 BDT per month, struggles to support the family of four, making it impossible to afford emergency medical treatment. Recently, Johra became seriously ill with fever, vomiting, and frequent loose stools, and doctors at New Evercare Hospital diagnosed her with acute watery diarrhea, a condition that spreads easily in their camp due to poor sanitation and unsafe drinking water. Because she is very young and already showing signs of dehydration, her condition could quickly worsen and become life-threatening if not treated properly. After learning about Helpster Charity through a leaflet and community outreach by volunteer Firoz, her worried parents are seeking support so Johra can receive the treatment she needs to recover safely.

Johra Khatun was admitted on 08.03.2026 with acute watery diarrhoea. At the time of admission, she was experiencing frequent loose stools, vomiting, fever, and signs of dehydration. The medical team immediately started treatment, including intravenous fluids to restore hydration, medications to control diarrhoea and vomiting, and close monitoring of her vital signs. During her hospital stay, she received proper medical management and attentive nursing care, which gradually improved her condition. Her vomiting stopped, the frequency of loose stools decreased, her fever subsided, and she was able to take oral fluids and food. After several days of observation and treatment, Johra Khatun recovered well, became stable, and was discharged safely on 11.03.2026. She is now in a secure condition and expected to continue regaining strength at home.

The doctor has recommended immediate hospital admission for Johra so that she can receive proper hydration, feeding, and other supportive care. With timely treatment, her fluid levels can be restored, her weakness will improve, and she will have a strong chance of making a full recovery. Supportive therapy will help her body regain strength and prevent further complications. However, if she is left untreated, her dehydration may worsen rapidly, leading to severe illness and possible organ failure. Without urgent care, this condition could become life-threatening for such a young child.
