Iqbal Ahmed is a calm and quiet 14-year-old boy who enjoys playing football and lives with his three sisters after their parents separated and started new families. The family survives on the small income of his eldest sister, Samiya Jannath Akhi, an 18-year-old student who earns around 4,000 BDT per month by teaching at a madrasha, making it very difficult for them to afford medical treatment. When Iqbal became seriously ill with high fever, vomiting, and weakness, his condition continued to worsen, leaving the family deeply worried and helpless. Without proper and timely treatment, his illness could become severe and life-threatening. During this challenging time, the family came to know about Helpster Charity through volunteer Tanjila Shaheen Ema, which gave them hope for receiving the care Iqbal urgently needs.

Iqbal Ahmed was admitted to Seba Hospital on 15th March 2026 with a diagnosis of enteric fever, where he received parenteral antibiotic therapy along with necessary supportive care. During his hospital stay, he was closely monitored by the medical team, and his condition gradually improved over five days. He was discharged on 20.03.2026 in a stable condition with advice to continue treatment and follow-up from home for three more days to complete the antibiotic course. Iqbal and his family express their heartfelt gratitude to Helpster Charity and its dedicated volunteers, especially Tanjila Shaheen Ema, for their timely support and guidance. They are also deeply thankful to Seba Hospital and the medical team for their care and commitment, which helped Iqbal recover and return to a healthier life.

According to the doctors, Iqbal requires immediate treatment with injectable (parenteral) antibiotics along with supportive care including nebulization to control the infection and stabilize his condition. With proper and timely treatment, he is expected to recover well and return to his normal daily life, including his studies and activities. However, if left untreated, the infection can worsen, leading to severe complications such as dehydration, prolonged illness, and damage to vital organs. In serious cases, it may even become life-threatening. Early medical care is therefore essential to ensure his full recovery and prevent further risks.
