Rasheda Khatun is a caring and devoted 28-year-old mother who manages her household and looks after her young son Hasib and elderly mother-in-law despite severe financial hardship. Her husband, Shahabuddin, is the sole earning member, working as an auto van driver with a monthly income of around 7,000 BDT, which makes it difficult for the family to afford essential medical care. Despite her strength and dedication, Rasheda is now facing a high-risk post-dated pregnancy along with anemia, putting both her life and her unborn baby at serious risk. Without timely medical intervention, she may face complications during delivery, including fetal distress or prolonged labor, which could endanger both mother and child. The family learned about Helpster Charity through CSDK staff and is now seeking urgent support to ensure a safe delivery.

Rasheda Khatun was admitted to the hospital on 22/03/2026 with a post-dated pregnancy and complications related to anemia, which made normal delivery risky. Considering the potential complications, doctors proceeded with a planned cesarean section (LUCS). The surgery was successfully performed, and her baby was delivered safely. Following the operation, Rasheda received appropriate post-operative care, including medications, antibiotics, and nutritional support. Both mother and baby remained stable and showed steady improvement during their hospital stay. Within a few days, she was able to move comfortably and begin caring for her newborn. She was discharged from the hospital on 25/03/2026 in good health. Rasheda and her family expressed their sincere gratitude to Helpster Charity, its volunteers, and the medical team for their compassionate support and timely intervention, which ensured a safe delivery and the well-being of both mother and child.

With timely LUCS (Lower Uterine Cesarean Section), Rasheda’s baby can be delivered safely, reducing the risks associated with a post-dated pregnancy and preventing complications such as fetal distress or difficult labor. This procedure will help ensure a controlled and safe delivery, protecting both the mother and the baby. With proper post-operative care and management of her anemia, Rasheda is expected to recover well and regain her strength. However, if left untreated, the prolonged pregnancy may lead to serious complications, including reduced oxygen supply to the baby, stillbirth, or prolonged and obstructed labor. Delaying treatment may also put the mother at risk of severe complications during delivery, endangering both lives.
