Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Tasmim Akter is a gentle and innocent 8-month-old baby girl who lives with her parents and her 6-year-old brother in a fragile rental home without permanent shelter. Her father earns only about 8,000 BDT per month as a day laborer, which barely covers basic needs, leaving the family unable to afford her urgent medical treatment. When her cough and cold worsened into severe pneumonia with breathing difficulty, her condition became critical, causing deep concern among her parents. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a volunteer, Masud Rana, and sought help during this difficult time. Without timely treatment, her condition could rapidly worsen, leading to severe breathing failure and life-threatening complications, making immediate support essential for her survival.
Medical history
Tasmim 8 month -old child, had been battling recurrent respiratory tract infections for the past few months, but this time, her condition worsened as she developed severe pneumonia. Despite multiple courses of antibiotics from local pharmacies, her health continued to decline, leaving him lethargic and in a toxic state. In desperate need of emergency hospitalization, she received critical care at Narayanganj Polyclinic, including oxygen therapy, nebulization with sulbutamol, ipratropium bromide, budesonide, and injectable antibiotics, along with hydrocortisone due to the seriousness of her condition. Tasmim was admitted on 20/3/26, received treatment, and was discharged from the hospital on 26/3/26. Now, after receiving the care she needed, Tasmim is doing well and has returned home, bringing joy back to her family. With tears of gratitude in their eyes, her parents said, "Thank you to Helpster Donors and Narayanganj Polyclinic; we are forever grateful for your support!"
Outcome
Doctors have recommended immediate hospitalization, intravenous antibiotic therapy, nebulization, and supportive care to treat Tasmim’s severe pneumonia and stabilize her breathing. With timely and proper treatment, the infection can be controlled, her oxygen levels can improve, and she can gradually recover and continue normal growth and development. Close medical monitoring is especially important at her young age to prevent complications. However, if left untreated, severe pneumonia in a two-month-old baby can rapidly worsen, leading to respiratory failure, spread of infection in the bloodstream, or even death. Early and complete treatment is critical to save her life and protect her future health.
