Hussaina Yakubu is a 23 year old young woman. She is from Dawala village, married to Yakubu Iliya and together they live in the husband's family compound in Dawala village. Her Husband, Yakubu Iliya is jobless. He only depends on small farm for food. The family can only boast of less than 30,000 a month. Hussaina is very quiet, enjoys sleeping, never attended school and dreams of becoming a business woman in the future. She arrived out facility with a post-date twin pregnancy. She reported reduced fetal movements in recent days, also, abdominal pain consistent with late pregnancy. There is no documented history of ante natal complications such as diabetes, hypertension or bleeding. On Ultrasound Examination, she was seen to have Twin 1- Breech presentation and Twin 2- Cephalic Presentation. Diagnosis of Multiple pregnancy with breech (malpresentation) in a post-term pregnancy. She was urgently admitted for emergency cesarean section.

Hussaina Yakubu a 23 year old young woman was rushed to our facility with Twin Gestation with Malpresentation in a Post-term Pregnancy.This is a high-risk obstetric emergency condition in which a woman is carrying two fetuses beyond the expected date of delivery, with one or both fetuses presenting in an abnormal position that is unfavorable for safe vaginal birth. She was immediately accessed and underwent Cesarean Section under general anesthesia. She was delivered of twins. She was later places under fluids and antibiotics to recover. Hence, she tolerated the whole process without any complications. She has recovered and has since been discharged.

Hussaina was diagnosed with post-term twins and a breech presentation, she faces a dangerous delivery scenario that carries a high risk of obstructed labor and uterine rupture. She is at risk of severe postpartum hemorrhage due to the over-distension of the uterus. For the babies, these malpresentations significantly increase the likelihood of birth asphyxia, umbilical cord prolapse, and physical trauma during extraction. The second twin is particularly at risk for fetal distress or death if there is a delay in delivery or premature placental separation. While the natural prognosis is poor with high mortality rates, a timely Cesarean section dramatically improves the safety and health outcomes for both the mother and the infants.
