Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Partho Sarkar is a gentle and innocent 7-month-old baby who lives with his parents, sister, and grandparents in very fragile conditions without a permanent home. His father earns only about 7,000 BDT per month working at a furniture shop, which is not enough to support six family members or afford urgent medical treatment. When Partho’s cough and fever worsened into severe pneumonia with breathing difficulty, his condition became critical, causing deep concern for his parents and grandparents. The family came to know about Helpster Charity through a volunteer, Masud Rana, and rushed him to Narayanganj Poly Clinic for treatment. Without timely care, his condition could rapidly worsen, leading to severe infection, breathing failure, or even life-threatening complications, making immediate support essential for his survival.

Medical history

Partho Sarkar, a 7-month-old child, had been suffering from cough and cold for several days, but his condition worsened when he developed severe pneumonia. Despite receiving initial treatment from local sources, his health continued to deteriorate, and he became weak with increasing breathing difficulty. In urgent need of medical attention, he was admitted to Narayanganj Polyclinic for emergency care. He received oxygen support, nebulization with salbutamol, ipratropium bromide, and budesonide, along with intravenous antibiotics and other supportive treatments due to the severity of his condition. Partho was admitted to the hospital, received proper treatment under close medical supervision, and gradually showed improvement. After completing his treatment, he was discharged in a stable condition. He was admitted on 01/04/26 and was discharged on 06/04/26. Now, Partho is doing well and has returned home safely, bringing relief and happiness to his family. His parents expressed their heartfelt gratitude, saying, "We are deeply thankful to Helpster donors and Narayanganj Polyclinic.

Outcome

The doctor explained that with timely hospitalization, antibiotics, nebulization, and supportive care, Partho’s lung infection can be controlled and his breathing will gradually improve. Proper treatment will help restore his oxygen levels, reduce fever, and strengthen his overall condition, allowing him to recover and continue normal growth. Continuous monitoring will ensure that any complications are detected early and managed effectively. However, if left untreated, his condition could worsen quickly, leading to severe breathing failure and the spread of infection in the body. This may result in serious complications such as sepsis or long-term damage to his lungs. In severe cases, it can become life-threatening, making urgent and complete treatment essential for his survival.
