Rushni Akter is a gentle and patient 21-year-old woman living in a crowded shelter in Geneva Bihari Camp with her parents, grandmother, and sister, where daily life is filled with hardship. Her father works as a daily laborer and the family’s limited income is only enough for basic needs, making medical treatment unaffordable for them. Despite years of suffering from nasal blockage, nosebleeds, and headaches, Rushni remained hopeful and continued to support her family, dreaming of a peaceful future. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach camp, which gave them the opportunity to seek proper care. Without timely treatment, her condition could have worsened further, leading to severe breathing difficulty, frequent bleeding, chronic infection, and significant impact on her daily life and overall health.

Rushni Akter, aged 21, was admitted to Al-Manar Hospital on 07 April 2026 with the diagnosis of Deviated Nasal Septum (left) with recurrent nosebleeding and bilateral inferior turbinate hypertrophy. She underwent septoplasty with inferior turbinate reduction on 08 April 2026 to relieve her long-term nasal blockage and repeated bleeding. After the surgery, her condition improved steadily under hospital care and monitoring. She was discharged on 10 April 2026 with medicines, nasal care instructions, and advice for follow-up treatment. Rushni and her family expressed sincere gratitude to Helpster Charity for supporting her treatment and helping her move toward recovery.

With timely treatment including septoplasty, turbinoplasty, and proper control of nosebleeding, Rushni has a very good chance of significant improvement. The surgery will correct the nasal blockage, allowing her to breathe normally, reduce headaches, and prevent recurrent nosebleeds, greatly improving her daily comfort and quality of life. Over time, she will be able to sleep better, carry out normal activities without discomfort, and regain her overall well-being. However, if left untreated, her condition may continue to worsen, leading to persistent breathing difficulty, frequent and severe nosebleeds, and increased risk of infections. In severe cases, uncontrolled bleeding or chronic airway obstruction could become dangerous and negatively impact her long-term health.
