Md Alif Hossain, an 11-day-old newborn, lives with his parents, brother, and sister in a financially struggling family where his father earns only about 9,000 BDT per month as a waiter, making it impossible to afford specialized medical treatment. He is a fragile newborn fighting multiple health problems from the very beginning of life, while his parents dream of seeing him grow up healthy like his siblings. He developed fever, cough, breathing difficulty, and eye infection, along with congenital deformities of both hands and feet that have affected his movement since birth. His elder brother Ali Azgor and sister Alsa Begum are deeply worried about their newborn sibling, while the family feels helpless due to poverty. They learned about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach camp organized by Helpster Charity and Al Manar Hospital, as without timely treatment, his pneumonia and congenital complications may worsen and become life-threatening.

Alif Hossain, an 11-day-old newborn, was admitted to Al Manar Hospital on 07-04-2026 with fever, cough, and breathing difficulty. He was diagnosed with Pneumonia along with eye redness and watering due to Conjunctivitis. During his hospital stay, he received hospital-based supportive and conservative treatment under close medical supervision. Gradually, his fever reduced and his breathing improved with proper care and medication. He was also evaluated for his congenital deformities, including Ulnar Club Hand and Cavus Foot, and advised long-term follow-up. After improvement in his condition, he was discharged on 11-04-2026 in stable condition with follow-up instructions.

With timely hospitalization, conservative and supportive treatment, Md. Alif Hossain’s pneumonia and eye infection can improve, helping him breathe better and recover from the acute illness. Regular follow-up and future corrective treatment for his congenital deformities may improve his mobility and quality of life as he grows. With proper medical care and monitoring, he has a better chance of healthy development. However, if left untreated, the pneumonia may worsen and become life-threatening, while the deformities may lead to permanent disability and severe difficulty in movement and daily activities.
