Alisa Akter is a gentle and quiet 5-year-old girl living in Geneva Camp with her parents and her 7-year-old sister, where life is already difficult due to poverty. Her father works hard as a rickshaw driver earning about 8,500 BDT per month, which only covers basic needs, leaving the family unable to afford her medical treatment. Since birth, Alisa has faced health challenges with facial changes, and over time her legs have become bowed due to weakness, while recent diarrhea has made her condition more serious. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach camp and sought help in desperation. Without proper treatment, her condition could worsen, leading to severe physical deformity, weakness, and life-threatening complications, making urgent support essential for her future.

Alisa Akter, aged 5 years, was admitted to AL-Manar Hospital Ltd. on 07 April 2026 at 12:16 PM under Dr. Amit Shome with Crouzon Syndrome, Nutritional Rickets, and Acute Watery Diarrhea. She was suffering from facial changes since birth, bowing of both legs for the last year, and loose watery stool for two days, and she required hospital care for dehydration and close monitoring. During her admission, she received conservative treatment, including IV fluids, antibiotics, calcium, vitamin D, medicines, and pediatric supervision. After 7 days of hospital stay, she improved and was discharged on 14 April 2026 with medicines and follow-up advice for further care. Alisa and her family are deeply grateful to Helpster Charity for the support that made her treatment possible.

The doctor explained that with proper hospitalization, IV fluids, antibiotics, and vitamin D and calcium supplementation, Alisa’s condition can gradually improve. The treatment will help control the diarrhea, correct dehydration, and strengthen her bones, which may reduce further deformity and support better growth and development. Continuous monitoring will also ensure that any complications are detected early and managed effectively. However, if left untreated, her condition could worsen, leading to severe dehydration, increasing bone deformities, and long-term physical disability. The lack of proper care may also affect her overall growth and quality of life. Therefore, timely and complete treatment is essential to protect her health and future well-being.
