Halima Akter is a determined and hopeful 20-year-old young woman living with nine family members in a crowded shelter in Geneva Camp, where poverty and poor sanitation make daily life difficult. Her father earns only about 8,500 BDT per month as a daily worker, while her mother is a housewife and her brother is unemployed, leaving the family unable to afford her medical treatment. As her abdominal pain, dizziness, and infection worsened, she became weak and seriously ill, forcing the family to seek urgent care at Al Manar Hospital. They learned about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach camp and reached out for support in this difficult time. Without proper treatment, her condition could lead to severe infection, worsening pain, and serious complications, putting her health and future at risk.

Halima Akter, aged 20, was admitted to Al Manar Hospital on 07 April 2026 at 12:45 PM after suffering from severe abdominal pain, whitish vaginal discharge, headache, and vertigo. She was diagnosed with acute abdomen due to urinary tract infection (UTI) and received conservative treatment, along with medicines, investigations, and hospital observation. She remained admitted for 4 days and showed improvement with treatment during her stay. Halima was discharged on 11 April 2026 with medicines and medical advice for follow-up care at home. Halima and her guardian expressed gratitude to Helpster Charity for the support that helped her receive treatment on time.

The doctor explained that with proper hospitalization, antibiotic therapy, and supportive care, Halima’s infection can be controlled and her abdominal pain will gradually improve. Timely treatment will help prevent the spread of infection and restore her strength, allowing her to return to normal daily activities. Continuous monitoring will also ensure that any underlying cause of her abdominal condition is identified and managed effectively. However, if left untreated, the infection could worsen and spread to other parts of the body, leading to severe pain and serious complications. This may result in long-term health problems or become life-threatening. Therefore, early and complete treatment is essential to ensure her safe recovery and future well-being.
