Emon Hossain is a polite and resilient 13-year-old boy living in Geneva Camp with his widowed mother, Parvin Hossain, who works as a maid and is the sole earner of the family, earning only around 8,500 BDT per month. He also lives with his paralyzed grandfather, elderly grandmother, and an unemployed elder brother, making it extremely difficult for the family to meet even their basic needs, let alone afford medical treatment. Despite his illness, Emon continues his studies in class four and tries to remain hopeful, but his condition has been worsening over time. The family learned about Helpster Charity through an outreach camp organized by Al Manar Hospital and Helpster Charity, which gave them a chance to seek help. Without proper treatment, his condition could lead to serious complications such as severe infection, breathing problems, poor growth, and long-term health issues, putting his future and well-being at great risk.

Emon was admitted to the hospital on 07-04-2026 after years of recurrent throat infections, breathing difficulty, and disturbed sleep. After proper evaluation, the medical team performed a successful adenotonsillectomy to provide long-term relief from his condition. Following the surgery, he received careful post-operative care, and his pain gradually reduced while his breathing and sleep improved significantly. He was discharged on 10-04-2026 in stable condition with clear signs of recovery.
