Aksura Akter, a 14-year-old student, lives with her parents in a small overcrowded shelter in Geneva Bihari Camp, where her father earns about 9,000 BDT per month as a van driver, which is not enough to cover basic needs or medical expenses. Despite these challenges, Aksura is a hardworking and determined girl who dreams of becoming a teacher. Recently, she became seriously ill with severe abdominal pain, weakness, headache, and dizziness, and was admitted to the hospital for treatment. However, due to their financial condition, her family is unable to afford the cost of necessary tests and care. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach camp in Geneva Camp and sought support. Without timely treatment, her condition may worsen and lead to serious health risks.

Aksura Akter, aged 14, was admitted to Al-Manar Hospital on 7 April 2026 with acute abdomen after suffering from severe abdominal pain, weakness, headache, and vertigo. After admission, doctors advised tests including CBC, CRP, abdominal X-ray, ultrasonography, and urine tests, and she received supportive and conservative treatment. She stayed in the hospital for 4 days before her condition improved. She was discharged on 11 April 2026 with medicine, medical advice, and follow-up instructions. Aksura and her guardian expressed gratitude to Helpster Charity for supporting her treatment.

With timely hospitalization, keeping her on NPO (nothing by mouth), and providing conservative treatment with close monitoring, Aksura Akter is expected to recover as the underlying cause of her abdominal pain is properly managed. This approach will help stabilize her condition, reduce pain, and prevent further complications, allowing her to gradually return to her normal life and continue her studies. However, if left untreated, her condition may worsen and develop into serious complications such as infection, internal bleeding, or organ damage. This could lead to severe health risks and may become life-threatening. Delayed treatment may also result in the need for emergency surgery and prolonged recovery. Therefore, timely medical care is essential to ensure her safety and full recovery.
