Ameena Akter, a 3-year-old girl, lives with her parents, elder brother, and aunt in a small overcrowded shelter in Geneva Bihari Camp, where her father earns a very limited income as a day laborer, making it difficult to meet daily needs and impossible to afford medical care. She is a gentle and playful child, but her prolonged illness has made her weak and less active. She has been suffering from abdominal pain, fever, and loss of appetite, and was diagnosed with recurrent urinary tract infection along with anemia, requiring proper treatment. Her family members are deeply worried but cannot bear the cost due to financial hardship. They learned about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach camp and sought help, as without timely treatment, her condition may worsen, leading to severe infection, weakness, and life-threatening complications.

Ameena Akter was admitted to AL-MANAR Hospital on 7 April 2026 at 12:50 PM after suffering from abdominal pain for nearly three months, repeated fever, and loss of appetite. After medical examination and tests, doctors diagnosed recurrent urinary tract infection and nutritional anaemia, and she was treated under pediatric care. During her 5-day hospital stay, she received antibiotics, blood transfusion, medicines, and close monitoring to stabilize her condition. Her health gradually improved, and she was discharged on 12 April 2026 with medicines, hygiene advice, and follow-up instructions. Her family expressed gratitude for the care received and remains hopeful for continued recovery with support from Helpster Charity.  

With timely hospitalization under a pediatrician, parenteral antibiotics, possible blood transfusion, and close monitoring, Ameena Akter is expected to improve as the infection is controlled and her blood levels recover. Treatment will reduce fever, relieve symptoms, and support her growth and strength. However, if left untreated, the infection may spread to the kidneys or bloodstream, causing severe complications. Anemia may worsen, leading to extreme weakness and delayed development. These conditions can become life-threatening, so timely medical care is essential.
