Fariha Islam, a 4-year-6-month-old child, lives with her parents and grandmother in a small overcrowded shelter in Market Camp, where her father earns only 8,500 BDT per month as an auto driver, making it difficult to meet daily needs and impossible to afford medical care. She is a gentle and cheerful child, but her illness has made her weak and unable to play or eat properly. She became seriously ill with fever, cough, and breathing difficulty and was diagnosed with severe pneumonia, requiring urgent treatment. Her parents are deeply worried but cannot bear the cost due to financial hardship. They learned about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach camp and sought help, as without timely care, her condition may worsen, leading to severe breathing problems and life-threatening complications.

Fariha Islam, aged 4 years 6 months, was admitted to Al-Manar Hospital Ltd. on 11 April 2026 at 2:33 PM after suffering from severe pneumonia with high fever, cough, and breathing difficulty. During her treatment, she received hospitalization, antibiotic therapy, oxygen support, nebulization, and close medical monitoring as advised by the doctors. She remained under treatment in the hospital for about 9 days until her condition gradually improved. Fariha was discharged on 20 April 2026 with medicines and medical advice for continued care at home. Her treatment helped stabilize her condition, but she still needs proper follow-up care and support for full recovery.  

With timely hospitalization, antibiotics, nebulization, and supportive care, Fariha Islam is expected to recover as the lung infection is controlled and her breathing improves. Treatment will reduce fever, improve oxygen levels, and help her regain strength and normal activity. With proper monitoring, she can return to a healthy childhood. However, if left untreated, severe pneumonia may worsen, leading to serious breathing failure and spread of infection. This can become life-threatening, so timely medical care is essential for her recovery.
