Apurupa Das is a polite 19-year-old woman who was eagerly expecting her first child while living in very difficult conditions with her husband and elderly parents. Her husband earns only about 7,000 BDT per month working at a glass shop, which is not enough to support the family or cover emergency medical expenses, leaving them unable to afford proper treatment. When she developed severe abdominal pain and complications related to the baby’s position, her condition became critical, but the nearby government hospital could not provide the required emergency care. With no savings and growing fear, the family came to Poly Clinic after learning about Helpster Charity from a volunteer, Masud Rana, and previous beneficiaries. Without timely medical intervention, both the mother and her unborn child could face life-threatening risks, making urgent support essential for their survival.

Apurupa Das was admitted to Narayanganj Poly Clinic on 11/04/2026 after experiencing lower abdominal pain and being diagnosed with a breech presentation at 36 weeks of pregnancy. Considering the risk of complications during normal delivery, doctors performed a cesarean section under spinal anesthesia, and the surgery was successfully completed with the safe birth of a healthy baby. After the operation, she received proper post-operative care and supportive treatment, and her condition gradually improved. She was discharged from the hospital on 14/04/2026 in stable condition and has now returned home healthy and happy with her newborn. Doctors have advised LUCS (caesarean section) as the safest treatment because the baby is in a breech position, which makes normal delivery very risky. With timely LUCS, the baby can be delivered safely, greatly reducing the chances of birth injury, breathing problems, or loss of life, while also protecting the mother from dangerous labor complications. The procedure will give both Jisa and her child a strong chance for a healthy recovery and a normal life ahead. If the baby is left untreated and delivery is delayed or attempted normally, it could lead to severe complications such as prolonged labor, lack of oxygen to the baby, or even death. Early surgical intervention is therefore critical to save both mother and child and prevent lifelong consequences.
