Shompa Akter, a 25-year-old housewife and mother of two, is currently in her third pregnancy and hopes for a safe delivery and a healthy baby. Her husband, Al Amin, works as a daily wage laborer and earns around 8,000 BDT per month, which is not sufficient to support their six-member family, including their two young children and elderly parents. She learned about Helpster Charity through a community announcement (miking) in her area. Recently, she developed serious complications, including leakage of fluid and reduced movement of the baby, and doctors have advised an emergency caesarean section to save both lives. However, due to financial hardship, the family is unable to afford the treatment, and without timely intervention, both the mother and the unborn child may face life-threatening risks.

After experiencing, passage of gush of water and leaky membrane for 2 days and less fetal movement for 1 day without progressing labour pain, she arrived at our hospital at 1.00PM in 16 th january 2026 and doctors performed an ultrasound that revealed amniotic fluid is very low with fetal distress , making vaginal delivery impossible. An emergency cesarean section was promptly arranged, and the procedure was successful, resulting in the birth of a beautiful female baby. Both the mother and the baby are safe and sound, with no complications arising from the surgery. We discharged the patient at 10.30AM in 19th january 2026 .The patient's family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Helpster Heroes and the hospital for their timely and effective care.

With timely Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS), Shompa Akter has a high chance of a safe delivery, which can protect both her life and the life of her unborn child. The procedure will help prevent complications caused by low amniotic fluid and fetal distress, ensuring the baby is delivered before the condition worsens. With proper post-operative care, both mother and baby are expected to recover well and lead a healthy life. However, if the condition is left untreated, the baby may suffer from severe distress, lack of oxygen, or even stillbirth. The mother may also face serious complications, including infection or prolonged labor risks, which can be life-threatening for both.
