Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Sukhi Akhtar is a hopeful and caring 20-year-old woman who is expecting her first child and dreams of building a happy family with her husband, Rana (32). Her husband works as a daily wage labourer and earns only about 9,000 BDT per month, which must support Sukhi, her elderly in-laws Lahli Begum (55) and Shah Alam (62), and her brother-in-law Nirab (22), a Class 12 student, leaving the family unable to afford costly emergency medical treatment. After an otherwise healthy pregnancy, Sukhi suddenly developed leakage of amniotic fluid for two days at 37+ weeks of pregnancy, and tests revealed severe oligohydramnios with fetal distress, placing her unborn baby's life in immediate danger. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Abdur Rahman, who guided them in seeking urgent assistance when they had no financial means to pay for an emergency cesarean section. Without immediate surgery, the baby could have suffered severe oxygen deprivation, permanent disability, or death inside the womb, while Sukhi herself faced the risk of serious pregnancy-related complications, making urgent treatment essential to save both mother and child.

Medical history

After experiencing, passage of gush of water and leaky membrane for 2 days, she arrived at our hospital at 1.00PM in 31th january 2026 and doctors performed an ultrasound that revealed amniotic fluid is very low with fetal distress , making vaginal delivery impossible. An emergency cesarean section was promptly arranged, and the procedure was successful, resulting in the birth of a beautiful female baby. Both the mother and the baby are safe and sound, with no complications arising from the surgery. We discharged the patient at 10.30AM in 03rd february 2026.The patient's family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Helpster Heroes and the hospital for their timely and effective care.

Outcome

The doctor's prognosis is that an immediate cesarean section is a crucial, life-saving intervention. The patient's history of premature rupture of membranes, severe oligohydramnios and fetal distress puts both the mother and baby at significant risk. The lack of amniotic fluid can lead to the umbilical cord becoming compressed, which can cut off the baby's oxygen supply and lead to fetal distress, irreversible brain damage, or stillbirth. Without the immediate surgical delivery, the risk of a tragic outcome for the baby is high. The C-section, while a major surgery, offers the best chance to bypass these life-threatening complications and ensure a safe and healthy start to the baby's life.
