Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Nur Nahar Begum, a 38-year-old pregnant woman, lives with her husband (52), three children (22, 18, and 11), and her elderly mother-in-law (78) in a low-income household where her husband earns only 8,000–9,000 BDT per month from a small tea shop, making it difficult to manage daily expenses and impossible to afford medical care. She is a caring and responsible mother who hopes for a safe delivery and a healthy baby. At 38+ weeks of pregnancy, she developed leakage of fluid and reduced fetal movement, and doctors diagnosed severe oligohydramnios with fetal distress, requiring urgent medical intervention. However, due to financial hardship, her family is unable to afford the necessary treatment. She learned about Helpster Charity through local miking and sought help, as without timely care, both her life and her unborn baby’s life could be at serious risk.

Medical history

After experiencing labor pain for over 38 weeks and rupture of membrane for 2 days and less fetal movement for 10+ hours with previous history of 1 caesarean operation , she arrived at our hospital at 1.00 PM in 15th january 2026 and doctors performed an ultrasound that revealed amniotic fluid is very low with fetal distress , making vaginal delivery impossible. An emergency cesarean section was promptly arranged, and the procedure was successful, resulting in the birth of a beautiful baby girl. Both the mother and the baby are safe and sound, with no complications arising from the surgery. We discharged the patient at 10.30AM in 18th january 2026. The patient's family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Helpster Heroes and the hospital for their timely and effective care.

Outcome

Doctors have recommended LUCS as the safest treatment option to manage Nurnahar’s pregnancy complication and deliver the baby without delay. With timely surgery, the baby can be born safely, and Nurnahar is expected to recover well with proper post-operative care. The procedure will prevent further stress on the baby caused by low amniotic fluid and reduced movement. If the surgery is not performed in time, the baby may suffer severe distress, lack of oxygen, or even loss of life, and the mother’s health could also be seriously endangered. Prompt intervention is crucial to protect both mother and child.
