Anis Mohammad, a 4-year-old boy, lives with his parents and three siblings in a small makeshift shelter where his father’s irregular income as a day laborer is barely enough to meet basic needs, making medical treatment unaffordable. He is a gentle and hopeful child, but his illness has made him weak, irritable, and unable to eat or play normally. He developed severe breathing difficulty, cough, fever, and chest pain, and was diagnosed with pneumonitis, requiring urgent treatment. His parents and siblings are deeply worried but feel helpless due to their financial hardship. They learned about Helpster Charity through a local volunteer and sought help, as without timely care, his condition may worsen, leading to severe respiratory distress and life-threatening complications.

Anis Mohammad, a 4-year-old child, was admitted on 15.04.2026 to Orion Hospital through Helpster volunteer Abusayeed with complaints of severe difficulty in breathing with persistent cough and chest pain, high-grade fever with extreme weakness and irritability, and loss of appetite associated with abdominal discomfort and reduced oral intake. Following admission, detailed clinical evaluation and necessary investigations were carried out, and he was diagnosed with pneumonitis with anorexia. He was hospitalized and kept under close monitoring, received therapy for hypoxemia, and was given appropriate medical management for pneumonia and fever. Fluid and electrolyte balance were maintained, along with nutritional support to improve his overall condition. He remained hospitalized for a total of 04 days and was discharged on 18.04.2026 in stable condition with medications, dietary advice, and follow-up instructions. The treatment expenses were fully supported by Helpster Charity, and the family expresses sincere gratitude to Helpster, its volunteers, and the hospital team for their kind support and care.

Doctors have have advised immediate hospital-based treatment including oxygen support, antibiotics, fever control, and close monitoring to stabilize his condition. With timely and proper medical care, there is a strong chance of recovery, and he can gradually return to normal health as the infection clears and breathing improves. However, if left untreated, the infection may rapidly worsen, leading to severe breathing failure, spread of infection in the body, and life-threatening complications, which may even result in death.
