Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Four-year-old Zohan Shazam lives with his family in a small overcrowded shelter in Geneva Bihari Camp, Mohammadpur, Dhaka. His father earns only around 9,000 BDT per month as a car driver, which is barely enough for food and rent, leaving the family unable to afford proper medical treatment. Although Zohan is a cheerful and innocent child, delayed growth and the bending of both legs have made walking painful and difficult for him, and severe pain in his right arm recently worsened his condition. Doctors diagnosed him with achondroplasia with bowing of both lower limbs and warned that without proper treatment, his movement and physical condition may become more severe. During this difficult time, the family learned about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach camp organized in Geneva Camp, giving them hope for Zohan’s treatment and future.

Medical history

Zohan Shazim, aged 4 years, was admitted to Al-Manar Hospital on 02 May 2026 at 12:45 PM with growth problems, bowing of both lower limbs, and severe pain in his right arm. He was diagnosed with achondroplasia with bowing of both lower limbs and a healing fracture of the distal shaft of the right radius. He stayed in the hospital for 7 days and received conservative treatment with prescribed medicines and medical observation. Zohan was discharged on 09 May 2026 with advice for close observation, regular follow-up, and continued care. His family expressed gratitude to Helpster Charity for supporting his treatment during this difficult time.

Outcome

According to the doctors, Zohan Shazim requires hospitalization, medical evaluation, supportive care, and conservative treatment to manage his condition and reduce pain and physical difficulties. With proper treatment and regular monitoring, his pain can improve, movement may become easier, and his overall physical condition can be better managed to support healthier growth and daily activities. Doctors are carefully observing his condition to prevent further worsening of the bowing in his legs and other physical complications. If he does not receive proper treatment, his leg deformity and pain may become more severe over time, making walking, movement, and normal childhood activities increasingly difficult and affecting his long-term quality of life.
