Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Md. Azan Hossain is a gentle and playful 5-year-old boy from Center Community Relief Camp, Dhaka, who loves spending time with his younger sister and dreams of going to school regularly like other children. He lives with his parents in a small overcrowded shelter where his father, Md. Towhed Hossain, struggles to support the family by working as a day laborer earning only around 8,500 BDT per month, leaving no savings for costly medical treatment and hospital expenses. Azan’s painful neck swelling, fever, weakness, weight loss, and loss of appetite have made him unable to play, eat properly, or enjoy a normal childhood, causing great concern for his parents and family members. The family came to know about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach camp organized by Helpster Charity at Market Camp, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Doctors have warned that without proper treatment, the infection and swelling in his neck may become more severe, spread further inside his body, and seriously threaten his health and future well-being.

Medical history

Md. Azan Hossain, aged 5 years, was admitted to Al-Manar Hospital Ltd. on 05 May 2026 at 2:16 pm with neck abscess with lymphadenopathy. After evaluation, he underwent operative treatment, including lymph node biopsy, on 06 May 2026 under general anesthesia. He stayed in the hospital for about two days and was discharged on 07 May 2026 with medicines, dressing advice, and follow-up instructions. After treatment, his condition became stable, and continued follow-up is needed to review the histopathology report and support full recovery. His family expressed gratitude to Helpster Charity for helping him receive timely treatment.

Outcome

According to the doctors, Md. Azan Hossain urgently needs surgery to drain the infection, regular wound care, and further tests to identify the exact cause of his neck swelling. If tuberculosis is confirmed, he will also require a full course of anti-TB medicines for proper recovery. With timely treatment and close medical monitoring, the swelling, pain, fever, and weakness are expected to improve gradually, helping him return to a healthier and more normal life. However, if he remains untreated, the infection may spread deeper into his neck and body, cause severe complications, breathing difficulties, and may become life-threatening.
