Umme Habiba is a kind, respectful, and hardworking 17-year-old girl who dreams of continuing her education and supporting her family in the future. She lives with her father, Johirul Islam, a day labourer earning only 8,000 BDT per month, her mother Taslima Begum, and her two younger sisters, Esa Nur and Tahmina Akter, in a fragile shelter without a permanent home. When Habiba developed severe pneumonia, her condition rapidly worsened, causing high fever, persistent cough, and serious breathing difficulties that required urgent hospitalization. The family struggles to meet even their daily needs and cannot afford the cost of lifesaving treatment. Without proper medical care, the infection could spread further, leading to respiratory failure and potentially putting her life at risk, making immediate treatment essential for her survival and recovery.

Umme Habiba initially developed symptoms of cough, runny nose, and fever, which continued for several days at home. As her condition gradually worsened and she started experiencing difficulty in breathing, her family sought medical attention. She was then taken to Narayanganj Poly Clinic General Hospital, where doctors evaluated her condition and diagnosed her with severe pneumonia. Considering the seriousness of her illness, she was admitted to the hospital on 04-05-2026 for immediate treatment. During her hospital stay, she received conservative management, including medications, supportive care, and close monitoring by healthcare professionals. Necessary investigations such as blood tests and chest X-ray were done to assess her condition. After showing improvement, she was discharged on 09-05-2026 with a treatment plan, which includes continuing prescribed medications, follow-up check-ups, and proper care at home. Due to financial constraints, her family is still facing challenges in continuing her full treatment and follow-up care, and they are seeking assistance to ensure her complete recovery.

Doctors expect Umme Habiba's condition to improve significantly with hospitalization, antibiotic therapy, nebulization, and other supportive treatment. The treatment will help control the lung infection, reduce her breathing difficulties, lower her fever, and restore her strength, allowing her to return to her normal daily activities and education.
