Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Selina Akter, a 35-year-old housewife, dreams of raising her family with her husband, Abdullah, a daily wage laborer who earns only BDT 9,000 per month and struggles to support their five-member household, including their 14-year-old son and elderly parents. During her second pregnancy, after a healthy prenatal period, she suddenly experienced leakage of amniotic fluid and reduced fetal movement for two days. An ultrasound confirmed severe oligohydramnios with prolonged labor, placing both the mother and her unborn baby at immediate risk, and the doctor advised an emergency Caesarean section (LUCS) to save their lives. Without urgent surgery, the baby could suffer severe oxygen deprivation, stillbirth, or permanent brain injury, while Selina could face life-threatening complications from prolonged labor and infection. Unable to afford the cost of emergency treatment because of their limited income, the family turned to Helpster Charity after being referred by volunteer Abdur Rahman, hoping to give both mother and baby a chance to survive and live a healthy future.

Medical history

After experiencing, Spontaneous rupture of membrane & continuous leaking for 02 day & less fetal movement for 01 days, she arrived at our hospital at 4.00 PM in 15th april 2026 and doctors performed an ultrasound that revealed amniotic fluid is very low with fetal distress , making vaginal delivery impossible. An emergency cesarean section was promptly arranged, and the procedure was successful, resulting in the birth of a beautiful male baby. Both the mother and the baby are safe and sound, with no complications arising from the surgery. We discharged the patient at 10.30AM in 18th april 2026. The patient's family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Helpster Heroes and the hospital for their timely and effective care.

Outcome

Based on the critical diagnosis, the doctor's prognosis is that an immediate cesarean section is a life-saving intervention for both the mother and baby. with severe oligohydramnios, indicate that the baby and mother are in immediate danger. If left untreated, the lack of amniotic fluid will likely lead to umbilical cord compression, cutting off the baby's oxygen and nutrient supply and potentially resulting in irreversible brain damage or even stillbirth. Therefore, the doctor's recommendation of an immediate C-section is a crucial, time-sensitive measure to ensure a healthy and safe delivery, providing the best possible outcome for the baby's future.
