Fatema Khatun is an 18-year-old woman who is pregnant with her first child and hopes for a safe delivery. She lives with her husband, a day laborer whose income is barely enough to cover the family's daily expenses, making it difficult for them to afford the cost of medical treatment. As her pregnancy reached 39 weeks, she developed abdominal pain and watery discharge, and doctors found that her baby is in a breech position with low amniotic fluid. These conditions increase the risk of complications during delivery and require proper medical care. Without timely treatment, both Fatema and her unborn baby could face serious health risks during childbirth. The family learned about Helpster Charity through another patient, Laboni Begum, and Helpster Volunteer Bablu Abdullah, who guided them in seeking support for her treatment.

Fatema Khatun was admitted to the hospital on June 9, 2026, with a diagnosis of breech presentation and severe oligohydramnios. On the same day, she successfully underwent a cesarean section and delivered a healthy baby girl. Both the mother and the newborn remained in good condition throughout their hospital stay and were discharged on June 13, 2026. At the time of discharge, Fatema’s brother-in-law and mother-in-law came to the hospital to receive both mother and baby. The family expressed their sincere gratitude to Helpster, Jamuna Clinic, and Md. Abdullah Miah for their dedicated care, treatment, and continuous support throughout the entire process. According to the treating doctors, LUCS (Lower Uterine Caesarean Section) is the safest treatment option for Fatema because her baby is in a breech position and there is reduced amniotic fluid, both of which increase the risk of complications during a normal delivery. The surgery is expected to ensure a safer birth, reduce the risk of injury to the baby, and protect the health of both mother and child. With timely surgical intervention, Fatema has a good chance of a safe delivery and recovery. However, if left untreated or if delivery is delayed, serious complications such as obstructed labor, fetal distress, severe bleeding, infection, or loss of the baby may occur.
