Joyline is a 5 month old baby who lives with her teenage mother. Joyline's mother would like Joyline to be a nurse when she grows up, but acknowledges the fact that Joyline will be free to choose her own career later in life. The mother reports that Joyline has been having generalized body rashes of the whole body associated with hotness of body for 1 month.

Joyline was brought to the hospital with complaints of body rashes and fever. Before coming to the hospital, she had been given some medication, including Cetirizine and Amoxicillin. Her guardians were advised against giving children antibiotics before a diagnosis is made. Upon examination, the patient appeared unwell, and had rashes all over the body that were infected and oozing pus. The doctors diagnosed Joyline with septic dermatitis and started treatment immediately. Medication was given for three days, and Joyline was monitored to ensure improvement. Once better, she was discharged to continue recovering at home. About a week after discharge, a follow-up visit confirmed that Joyline had recovered well. The rashes had cleared, and there were no signs of infection.

Topical corticosteroid creams or ointments are often prescribed to reduce inflammation and relieve itching associated with dermatitis. These medications help to suppress the immune response and alleviate symptoms.
