Naima Akter is a bright and determined 12-year-old girl who studies in Class 7 and dreams of continuing her education despite her family's financial hardships. Her father, Abdul Mojid (45), earns only about BDT 5,000 per month as a farmer, while her mother, Lebu Begum (40), is a housewife, and her elder sister, Masuma Begum (15), is a Class 9 student. When Naima developed severe abdominal pain, repeated vomiting, diarrhea, and fever, her condition rapidly worsened, but her family could not afford the cost of hospital treatment because their limited income is barely enough to meet basic household needs. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Helpster Volunteer Tanjila Shahin Ema, who guided them in seeking support for Naima's treatment. Without timely medical care, her illness could have led to severe dehydration, worsening infection, extreme weakness, and other life-threatening complications, putting both her health and education at serious risk.

According to the treating physician, Naima Akter required hospitalization because acute gastroenteritis with cystitis was causing severe abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, and increasing weakness. With timely treatment, medications, fluids, and close monitoring, her infection is expected to improve, her symptoms will resolve, and she can return to her normal studies and daily activities. Early medical care will also help prevent dehydration and other complications, allowing her to make a full recovery. However, if left untreated, the illness could lead to severe dehydration, worsening infection, extreme weakness, kidney-related complications, and other potentially life-threatening conditions.
