Masud Ahmed is a 20-year-old madrasa student from a low-income farming family. His father, Shahed Ahmed (48), earns only about BDT 5,000 per month as a farmer, while his mother, Khursheda Begum (45), is a housewife, and his younger sister, Jannatul Ferdous (18), is studying in the second year of intermediate college. For the past six months, Masud has been suffering from increasing swelling, pain, and heaviness on the left side of his scrotum due to Grade III varicocele, a serious condition that had reached an advanced stage and was significantly affecting his daily activities and studies. Despite his determination to continue his education, the pain became worse with standing and physical activity, but the family could not afford the required treatment because their limited income is barely enough to cover basic household expenses. The family came to know about Helpster Charity through Helpster volunteers Ema and Redwan, who guided them in seeking assistance. Without timely treatment, the condition could lead to severe and persistent pain, damage to the affected testicle, testicular shrinkage, making urgent medical intervention critical for Masud's health and future.

According to the treating physician, Masud Ahmed's Grade III left-sided varicocele required surgical treatment because the condition had progressed to an advanced stage, causing persistent swelling, pain, and heaviness that affected his daily activities. The surgery is expected to relieve his discomfort, improve his quality of life, and help protect the normal function of the affected testicle. With proper treatment and follow-up care, he is expected to recover well and return to his studies and normal activities without ongoing pain.
