Nusrat Jahan is a cheerful and resilient 7-year-old girl who lives with her parents and elderly grandparents in a family of five, hoping to enjoy a healthy childhood despite their difficult circumstances. Her father is the family's only earning member, working at a grocery shop with a monthly income of approximately BDT 8,000, which is barely enough to cover food and other basic necessities, leaving the family unable to afford the cost of hospitalization, medicines, investigations, and ongoing treatment. After learning about Helpster Charity through volunteer Masud Rana, the family sought assistance in the hope of helping Nusrat recover. Despite exhausting their limited resources, they cannot continue her treatment without financial support. Without timely treatment, the urinary tract infection and lower respiratory tract infection could spread, leading to kidney damage, severe pneumonia, bloodstream infection (sepsis), breathing complications, and other life-threatening conditions that could seriously endanger her life.

The recommended treatment is hospitalization and parenteral (intravenous) antibiotic therapy to effectively control both the urinary tract infection and lower respiratory tract infection, prevent the spread of infection, and ensure close medical monitoring. With timely treatment, adequate hydration, supportive care, and regular follow-up, Nusrat is expected to recover fully, with resolution of the infections and a return to her normal daily activities. If left untreated, the infections may spread to the kidneys and bloodstream, causing severe kidney damage, sepsis, respiratory complications, multi-organ failure, and other life-threatening conditions that could permanently affect her health or even result in death.
