Kaniz F., 16

Kaniz Fatima is a 16-year-old girl who enjoys drawing and dreams of becoming a nurse to help sick children. She lives with her parents and younger sibling in a small rented house in Geneva Camp, Mohammadpur, as part of a five-member family. Her father is the sole earning member and works as a daily wage laborer, earning approximately USD 90 per month, which is insufficient to cover the family’s daily needs and Kaniz’s hospital expenses. She developed persistent fever, vomiting, and severe abdominal pain, followed by reduced urine output and irritability, and was diagnosed with Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever at Al-Manar Hospital. Without urgent medical care, her condition could worsen due to fluid loss and plasma leakage, potentially leading to severe shock and other life-threatening complications. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach camp organized in Geneva Camp.

With Helpster’s support, Kaniz Fatima was admitted to Al-Manar Hospital on July 07, 2026, for severe Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever. Medical staff immediately stabilized her condition using intravenous fluids and supportive medications to treat her fever and severe body pain. She received primary supportive intervention and continuous monitoring during her stay, allowing her to recover without complications before being discharged on July 14, 2026, after spending a total of seven days in the hospital. She returned home with prescribed medications including Cap. Denvar, Cap. Sergel, Tab. Napa, Cap. Papaya, and vitamins to ensure complete healing. The medical treatment successfully restored her health, enabling Kaniz to be completely free of pain, recover comfortably at home, and return to her daily routine with renewed hope.

Immediate hospitalization, IV fluids, IV antibiotic therapy, daily CBC and other relevant investigations, and close monitoring are planned to stabilize Kaniz’s condition and detect complications early. If her condition deteriorates, ICU support will be provided to manage severe complications and maintain vital functions. With timely treatment and careful monitoring, she is expected to stabilize and recover from the acute illness. If left untreated, dengue hemorrhagic fever may progress rapidly with severe plasma leakage, circulatory failure, bleeding, organ dysfunction, and life-threatening shock.
