Hamida Khatun is a resilient 20-year-old woman who lives with her husband and elderly mother-in-law in a family of three. Her husband is the only earning member, working as an agricultural day laborer with a monthly income of approximately BDT 7,000, which is barely enough to cover the family's daily expenses, leaving them unable to afford the cost of hospitalization, surgery, medicines, and other treatment expenses. After learning about Helpster Charity through a staff member of Life Care Hospital, the family sought assistance in the hope of accessing the urgent medical care Hamida requires. Despite exhausting their limited resources, they are unable to continue her treatment without financial support. Without timely treatment, her breech pregnancy with anemia may lead to obstructed labor, severe bleeding, fetal distress, birth complications, stillbirth, or other life-threatening conditions that could endanger both the mother and her baby.

Hamida Khatun was admitted on 21 June 2026 at 38 weeks of pregnancy due to breech presentation and anemia, requiring close monitoring and a planned Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS). The surgery was successful, and she safely delivered a healthy baby. After receiving post-operative care, medications, nutritional support, and close monitoring, both mother and baby recovered well and were discharged in stable condition on 24 June 2026. Hamida and her family sincerely thank Helpster Charity, its dedicated volunteers, and the medical team for their timely financial assistance, compassionate care, and support, which ensured a safe delivery and a healthy future for both mother and child.

Doctors have recommended a Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS) along with supportive treatment and close monitoring to safely manage Hamida Khatun’s 38-week pregnancy complicated by breech presentation and anemia, and to ensure the best possible outcome for both mother and baby. With timely surgery and appropriate medical care, there is a strong chance of a safe delivery and gradual recovery, allowing Hamida Khatun to return home and care for her newborn. The treatment will help minimize the risks associated with breech presentation and maternal anemia while enabling doctors to closely monitor the baby’s condition throughout the delivery. However, if proper treatment and timely delivery are delayed, serious complications such as difficult labor, fetal distress, umbilical cord complications, reduced oxygen supply to the baby, excessive maternal weakness, and other life-threatening risks for both the mother and baby may occur.
