Tasnim Akter is a cheerful young girl who was previously healthy but developed high fever, severe cough, and runny nose for five days, leaving her weak and seriously ill. She lives with her six-member family, while her father is the sole earning member and works as a day laborer, earning approximately USD 65–73 per month, which is barely enough to meet their daily household needs and medical expenses. The family informed about Helpster Charity through volunteer Abdur Rahman and sought support because they could not afford the cost of Tasnim’s treatment. After medical assessment and investigations at Saheda Gafur Ibrahim General Hospital, she was diagnosed with typhoid and admitted for treatment. Without timely treatment, the infection could worsen and lead to serious complications, making proper hospital care essential for her recovery.

Doctors have advised treatment with parenteral antibiotics along with supportive therapy to effectively control Tasnim Akter’s typhoid infection. With timely and complete treatment, her fever will gradually subside, her strength will return, and she will be able to resume her studies and daily activities without long-term effects. Proper medical care will also prevent the infection from spreading and protect her vital organs. However, if left untreated, typhoid can lead to severe complications such as intestinal perforation, internal bleeding, bloodstream infection, and even become life-threatening. Early intervention is therefore essential to ensure her full recovery and safeguard her future health.
