Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Liz Mary is a cheerful little girl who lives with her grandmother. Her grandmother can hardly speak, but she is the one who supports their small family. All their needs are provided by a small plot of land behind their thatched house. This year Liz has not been able to go to school because they don't have enough money. She came to the hospital because she is having trouble urinating and her lower abdomen hurts a lot. She also experienced headaches, joint pain and fever. Liz had been suffering for four months because they could not afford to see a doctor.
Medical history
Mary Liz was presented with complains of severe abdominal pain and severe headache for two weeks. The lower abdominal pain is gradual in onset, excrutiating in nature and radiates to the umbilical region. It is associated with severe pain during urination and, increased frequency of urination. The generalized headache was associated with hotness of the body that is alternating with chills, multiple joint pains and malaise. In line with the above presenting systoms, and examination findings, the following tests were done; full haemogram, Liver Function Test, Bs for Mps(malaria), and pregnancy test. The patient was diagnosed with anaemia(low blood level), cystitis(bacterial infection and inflammation of the urinary bladder) and schistosomiasis(a parastic disease caused by blood flukes). She was initiated on intravenous ceftriaxone(antibiotic), pace mr(pain reliever), praziquantel, then advised to continue with ranferon( blood booster), metronidazole and dietary intake of iron rich foods. The patient was treated as an outpatient and a follow up phone call a few days later confirmed that she was well
Outcome
Treatment for schistosomiasis typically involves antiparasitic medications such as praziquantel, which effectively kills the adult worms. Cystitis, which is an infection or inflammation of the bladder, is usually treated with antibiotics to kill the bacteria causing the infection. If not treated, the bacteria from the bladder can travel up the ureters to infect the kidneys, leading to a more severe and potentially life-threatening infection. If left untreated, Anemia can lead to fatigue, weakness, paleness, shortness of breath, and reduced overall quality of life. In severe cases, untreated anaemia can result in complications such as heart problems, impaired cognitive function, and compromised immune response, underscoring the importance of timely diagnosis and treatment to prevent these health issues. Treatments for anaemia might involve taking supplements or having medical procedures. Eating a healthy diet might prevent some forms of anemia.
