Nusaiba Jannat is a 3-month-old infant from a financially disadvantaged family, where her father is the sole earning member and works as a day laborer, earning approximately BDT 5,000 (about USD 41) per month. His limited income must support Nusaiba, her mother, three elder brothers, and grandmother, leaving the family unable to afford the cost of hospitalization and treatment. Nusaiba was previously healthy but developed cold, cough, and high fever, followed by worsening breathing difficulty, excessive crying, and poor feeding, and was diagnosed with severe pneumonia. Without timely treatment, her condition could deteriorate rapidly, leading to severe respiratory distress, dangerously low oxygen levels, respiratory failure, and potentially death. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Tanjila Shahin Ema, who referred Nusaiba for the medical assistance she urgently needed.

According to the treatment plan, hospitalization with antibiotic therapy, nebulization, and other supportive care is expected to control Nusaiba’s severe pneumonia, improve her breathing and oxygenation, reduce fever, and support adequate feeding and recovery. With timely treatment and close monitoring, she is expected to stabilize and gradually return to normal health. If left untreated, the infection may rapidly worsen, causing severe respiratory distress, dangerously low oxygen levels, respiratory failure, and potentially life-threatening complications.
