Abu Sufian is a 7-year-old Grade One student who was previously healthy but developed high fever and severe cough for six days. He lives with his six-member family, while his father is the sole earning member and works as a day laborer, earning approximately USD 57–65 per month, which is barely enough to meet the family’s daily needs and leaves them unable to afford his medical treatment. The family informed about Helpster Charity through volunteer Abdur Rahman and sought support for Abu Sufian’s care. After medical assessment and investigations at Saheda Gafur Ibrahim General Hospital, he was diagnosed with typhoid and admitted for treatment. Without timely treatment, the infection could worsen and lead to serious complications, making hospital-based care essential for his recovery.

Doctors have advised treatment with parenteral antibiotics along with supportive therapy to effectively control Abu Sufian's typhoid infection. With timely and complete treatment, his fever will gradually subside, his strength will return, and he will be able to resume her studies and daily activities without long-term effects. Proper medical care will also prevent the infection from spreading and protect his vital organs. However, if left untreated, typhoid can lead to severe complications such as intestinal perforation, internal bleeding, bloodstream infection, and even become life-threatening. Early intervention is therefore essential to ensure her full recovery and safeguard her future health.
