Sarah is a 3 year old baby who is always bubbly and likes to squeal as she runs around, but has been dull for a few weeks now. She has a generalized rash in the whole body with some areas having pustules with pus oozing out. 3 months ago she developed the rash on her skin which wasn't so severe but this worsened over time and has been itchy and painful over the past few weeks.

Sarah received effective treatment, and the rashes on her body have completely cleared. Before, she was unable to attend school or play with her friends due to the discomfort, but now she’s back to enjoying both. She was diagnosed with scabies, and her mother was given thorough counseling on proper hygiene practices to prevent recurrence. A home visit was conducted a week after treatment, and Sarah was found to be doing well and steadily improving. All of this was made possible thanks to the support of Helpster Charity.

DIAGNOSIS impression # scabies Scabies is a parasitic infestation caused by tiny mites that burrow into the skin and lay eggs, causing intense itching and a rash. It should be treated quickly to stop it spreading.it can be spread from one person to another within a short period of time. Scabies can lead to skin sores and serious complications like septicemia (a bloodstream infection), heart disease and kidney problems if not treated. Scabies is treatable follow up in two weeks on health education on health hygiene.
