Hope and Healing in Pabna, Bangladesh

News Bangladesh
On 17 May 2025, Helpster Charity brought critical medical care to three remote villages(Muladuli, Upazila, Iswardi) in the Pabna District of Bangladesh. As part of its mission to expand healthcare access in underserved communities across Asia and Africa, Helpster’s outreach provided essential services to 1,470 individuals in need, offering treatment, education and hope where it is needed most.

This medical outreach formed part of Helpster’s broader mission to reach vulnerable communities across Asia and Africa with vital healthcare. A dedicated team of medical professionals provided comprehensive care to residents, including health education, disease screening and treatment for a wide range of common and chronic conditions.

Among the beneficiaries were 810 men, 480 women and 180 children, many of whom received treatment for illnesses such as abdominal pain, gastrointestinal disorders, diarrhoea, fever, typhoid, sore throat, ear infections, kidney stones, anaemia, and congenital heart disease. Five cases required surgeries, and were referred to our partner hospitals for further evaluation and treatment. 170 people were given blood grouping while 53 were diagnosed with diabetes.
Healthcare access remains a pressing challenge in many parts of Bangladesh, particularly in remote areas where resources are scarce and infrastructure limited. Initiatives like this are not only alleviating immediate medical needs but also laying the foundation for long-term health equity by connecting communities with sustainable support.

This outreach was made possible through the collective effort of volunteers and partnering organisations, including Positive Plus Foundation, the Public Health Department, Bangladesh Krishak Samity, and Polly Akota Unnayan Sangstha (RUDO) Hospital, which provided critical on-ground support.

Helpster Charity continues to reimagine healthcare delivery through its technology-driven crowdfunding platform, allowing donors around the world to support the treatment of underserved children and pregnant women. Founded by a team of IT professionals, Helpster remains committed to closing the healthcare gap— one village, one patient, one story at a time. To save a life, make a donation here.
